AURORA WORLD UNVEILS NEW PRODUCT LINES AT NEW YORK TOY FAIR 2018
Popular Licensed Plush Includes tokidoki, YooHoo & Friends and Dr. Seuss!
Pico Rivera, CA, February 17, 2018 — It’s the most fun time of the year! Aurora World, a global leader in plush toys and high-quality gift products for more than 30 years, celebrates its 25th year as an exhibitor at The North American International Toy Fair running at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City February 17-20.
New York Toy Fair is the annual showcase of the freshest ideas and hottest trends from over 1,000 companies displaying more than 100,000 toys and youth entertainment products. This year Aurora World is excited to introduce over 200 new products at the show.
Aurora World offers 3,500 high quality, irresistibly cuddly products sure to delight people from 1-100! In addition to its own creations, Aurora World also makes popular licensed products including tokidoki, YooHoo & Friends and is announcing an exciting brand-new plush partnership with Dr. Seuss this year.
Following are some highlights from Aurora World’s 2018 introductions:
Dr. Seuss: Oh, the places you’ll go! – with Aurora World’s first-ever Dr. Seuss line. Aurora World is very excited to announce a new licensing partnership with Dr. Seuss, the world’s best-selling children’s book author of all time. The Aurora World product launch will feature some of the most well-known and popular Dr. Seuss characters. Consumers can expect to see new Dr. Seuss plush in toy stores and gift/stationary stores starting in the second half of 2018.
tokidoki: This new licensed line was revealed in 2017 and continues to be a popular one with new additions to the Mermicorno and Unicorno lines and new Moofia characters, Strawberry Milk and Latte, joining the lineup. Additionally, there are new Series 2 blind bags for Unicorno and Mermicorno and new Series 1 blind bags for Moofia. All feature a mystery character in addition to three regular character options.
Precious Moments: This continues to be a strong license for Aurora World and we are excited to take part in the brand’s celebration of its 40th anniversary! To commemorate it, 2018 will debut some adorable additions to the Precious Moments Aurora Plush line-up, including household favorites cats and dogs — cutely named Hunter Hound dog and Cinder Kitten — as well as a new array of sea life creatures like Sandie Seahorse and Nico Narwhal.
Aurora Baby: New this year, Aurora Baby will have its own catalog and section at tradeshows, including New York Toy Fair. The new lines for Aurora Baby include:
Luxe Boutique: One of this year’s most exciting new additions, Luxe Boutique brings a unique, luxurious charm to an exotic variety of animals including Sadira Ostrich, Mora Peacock and Fiona Swan. Made with high-end materials and deluxe fabrics, Luxe Boutique is an exceptional plush line; Aurora World’s goal was to introduce some of the unique creatures in the world with a focus on exquisite design, creating the perfect package of cuteness and quality.
YooHoo & Friends: 2017 was the 10th anniversary of the franchise and saw a number of exciting developments including the debut of seasons 1 and 2 of the series on Netflix. New licenses for the franchise have also paved the way for more exciting new products and toys in addition to the mainline plush, which continues to see new additions. YooHoo & Friends was created to educate children about animals and endangered species from all over the world. Since the brand’s launch, over 80 million YooHoo & Friends plush toys have been sold worldwide.
Miyoni: One of the most popular original Aurora brands, the entire line features handmade stuffed animals with an emphasis on both realistic and unique character designs. New animals for 2018 range from dog and pony designs to exotic rhinos and jaguars, among others. There are over 200 different Miyoni designs.
Flopsie: Flopsie is one of the most diverse and largest Aurora lines with many different types of animals including on-trend ones like a sloth, unicorn and hedgehog. The different characters range from small (Mini Flopsie) to midsize (Flopsie) to large (Super Flopsie).
Destination Nation: An extremely extensive line and a premier choice for zoos and other destination-focused retailers. Characters feature unique colors and textures. New for this year is a subsection called Destination Nation Boutique, previously known as Girlz Nation.
Sparkle Tales: An all-new line featuring beloved fantasy creatures such as the unicorn and dragon. These magical cuddly characters come in bright colors and cute designs to evoke a “fairy tale” feel. The smaller dragon characters make a “magic” noise when squeezed.
Sea Sparkles: This continues to be a strong line for Aurora World with new additions including Princess, Bride, Jungle, and winter wear.
Rumble Crew: Another brand-new line starting with four distinct creatures in single color designs for a minimal approach. The delightful and intentionally fuzzy design evokes childhood nostalgia.
Cuby Zoo: A new line of products based on the TV show “Cuby Zoo.” Similar to the partnership with YooHoo & Friends, the series and franchise were created by Aurora World. Cuby Zoo follows the adventures of 5 animal friends (Shasha, Marvin, Elio, Leon, and Sweetie) who appear as toys and go on an adventure in “Cubyland” but only when alone and out of human sight.
